The Weak Promoters Are At It Again....

It amazes me how quickly the weak promoters join a program and then immediately reduce the programs credibility by offering cash discounts or rebates just to steal sales from others.

Independent Profit Center is just a few weeks old and already a few promoters are offering cash discounts to join them. One even goes so far to come right out and say "Don't join with someone else when I can save you $XX dollars".

Why is this a bad thing?

Well first of all it is against Dan Miller's (who is the owner of IPC) rules. Here is a copy and paste directly from the IPC site...

Can I offer discounts for people to join The IPC Program through me?

Absolutely NOT!!! Any member that offers discounts on the IPC Program to anyone will be terminated immediately from the program.

Second it quickly ruins a programs integrity.

I can't tell you how many times I have seen a program go under because of something like this.

First someone offers a $50 discount. The someone else says no problem I will give a $100 discount... where does it end.

Then the "sponsor shoppers" come out and they contact several people and tell them that whoever gives them the best "deal" will be the person they "buy" from.

Very quickly there is no reason for anyone to promote the program any longer because it just isn't profitable.

So these weak promoters just join another program and do it all over again.

And those of you who join with someone only because they gave you a discount... If you think they are actually helping you out...

THINK AGAIN....

You are going to have to offer a discount yourself just to compete with them.

And once again if everyone starts offering discounts... pretty soon the program is no longer profitable for anyone...

Then what happens?

Come on people... get real.

IPC is worth way more than the cost of joining.

It is a great program and is very profitable for everyone exactly the way it is.

Why ruin a good thing?

I know why... because the weak promoters are just greedy and they do not believe in the program enough or they do not believe in their abilities enough to do the right thing.

So what do you think is going to happen to these weak promoters.

I think that Dan will probably give them a warning to stop and if they don't then he will stop them by removing them from the business.

Just my opininon... but hopefully he will do the right thing.

{UPDATE}

This is exactly what Dan is doing. He is giving them a chance to stop offering discounts. If they don't he is removing them from the IPC Program.

No surprises there...

{END UPDATE}

So I ask you this?

Are you considering the Independent Profit Center?

Are you really thinking about joining under someone just because they are offering you a small cash discount or rebate?

What else are they offering?

Do they offer you any tools, advice, or assistance?

What you need when doing your "sponsor shopping" is to find someone who can actually help you get into profit. Who will be there if you have questions or need help.

Or even better one that will provide you with something much better than a few dollars in cash back.

How about no cost entry into one of the top marketing universities online?

A place where you can go and really learn how to market online.

What is that worth to you?

Or is that few dollars the other guy is giving back to you going to actually help you be successful?

Think about it.

Either way I wish all of you the best of luck.

Update: On October 30th 2008 Dan Miller announced the launch of IPC Instant Cash which is the sister program to the Independent Profit Center. Be sure to check it out.

By the way. I would be interested in knowing what you think. After reading this hub feel free to leave a comment and let me know if you agree with my rantings or not.

Brett,

How are you doing with IPC. I would like to join, but am worried that it is just another 'opportunity' where it is difficult to be successful. Email me at: onyx@harborside.com

It is the best program I have seen yet, bar none. The program is well designed and setup. It is not a get rich quick program. It takes some work getting your payment buttons set up so that you can receive payments from customers. But other than that all you need to do is promote your website. And you can get lots of help doing that from the live online training sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays every week.

I repete it is the best program I have seen yet.

The only thing that worries me, is that all "reviews" are from individuals doing the business... How do you know if their review isn't just to get more clients to sign up and keep on making money for themselves from just another, like me (??).

Stella,

That is a good question but the only way anyone would ever be able to give a legitimate review of ANY program would be to join it and check it out.

How could anyone give a REAL review of any program they are not a member of?

That would be like doing a book review without reading the book.

That being said.  If the IPC Program was not for real then you would find the people who had joined the program and found that it was not what it was advertised to be.

If that were the case there would be more negative reviews than positive.

I hope that helps.
